Utharikha jewelers was started on October 14th 1994 at f-6, 1st floor, spencer plaza, Chennai. Spencer plaza which was the 1st mall in India then, provided the perfect platform for us to launch Utharikha and showcase the exclusivity and magnificence of Indian jewellery . At that time MNC’s were setting up factories around Chennai and Chennai was expanding on all sides. The foreigners working in MNC’s showed a lot of interest in customized jewellery and Utharikha was able to resonate to the market demands and connect with the customers by means of exclusive designs, excellent client servicing, sales etiquette etc .
The overwhelming response impelled us to open 3more showrooms in spencer plaza within a few years. We realized there was huge demand for Indian jewellery abroad, instead of waiting for orders to kick in, we organized exhibitions in USA, Malaysia, Singapore and Srilanka. This has not only resulted in exports to USA, Denmark, Spain, Singapore, Sri Lanka & Malaysia but has also helped us to improve the Quality and standard of our products and services.
In the year 2007 a new outlet was opened in the heritage town of Pondicherry, a French tourist destination in south India. With the advent of new high end shopping destination like Express Avenue Mall (in the year 2010) and Phoenix Market City (in the year 2013) a decision was made to relocate to these Malls to give the customers a better shopping experience.
Utharikha specializes in all types of silver jewellery , precious stones and beads, Semiprecious stones and beads, pearls, kundan , antique, temple jewellery etc Our vision is to globalize Utharikha Jewellers and we are striving towards this vision.
